I need the external enclosure not very often, for lower datatransfers and sometimes I need to swap the SSD. At the moment I use a LEXAR E300 (RTL9210B) without any thermal pad on the SSD. For a short use, after swapping, I even use it with open case/cover.

Do you think it's also working in the Samget, without thermal pad? Without getting critical high temps.

Edit: May there is an another problem that I have not yet considered...to get 20 Gbps datatransfer USB3.2 2x2 is needed. I "only" have Thunderbolt 4 Ports (I read on some Amazon reviews, that it only works at 20 Gbps on a USB3.2 2x2 - for Thunderbolt 4 a 40 Gbps encosure is needed.). Does the ASM2364 deliver 20 Gbps on Thunderbolt 4 ports?

The ASM2464 is much to expensive for my personal usage.

So I continue with the 10Gbps RTL9210B 👍
