ssd Version du micrologiciel du contrôleur Asmedia ASM2464 NVME/USB 4.x 240417_85_00

This is my guess at the problem
hence why im blaming the laptop

i may be able to force the asm2464 into another mode which may or may not help
but dont want to mess with the firmware until i get a backup somehow

    i can't tell you because I only have REALTEK RTL9210,  ASMEDIA ASM2464 & 2364 & 2362
Of course the fastest is the ASM2464 because of the Thunderbolt port (USB4)

i presume it will resolve with newer firmware or fitting a gen3 drive to it
will update in a few weeks/months when i resolve it

    3.2 Gen2 x2 works fine
    3.2 Gen2 x1 also fine
