I noticed that the last version(s) were dated January 26, 2024 with the version(s) v12.1.6000.1076 and v13.1.6000.1076, does the v12.1/v13.1 mean it is actually newer than the v12.0/v13.0 versions even though the next part 6000.1076 
is a lower number than 6000.1505 but dated January 26, 2024?  I am asking this question because normally Windows would say the latest drivers are already installed as .1 is bigger than .0 but it did install the .0 over the .1.

I'm a few weeks late in responding to this but the Realtek APO 12.1.6000.1076 and 13.1.6000.1076 drivers are only used on certain Microsoft Surface devices as noted from this MS Surface Pro 7+ update history page and this MS Surface Pro 9 update history page from Microsoft.

the 12.1.6000.1076/13.1.6000.1076 drivers are not used nor included by any other manufacturer based Realtek audio driver package - just only Microsoft uses these specific APO drivers.
personally, I stick to using the 12.0.6000.x/13.0.6000.x APO drivers as those are the "mainstream" versions used by many OEMs and the 12.1.6000.x/13.1.6000.x versions are only used by Microsoft.
