Issues with inserting pictures

I just made a reply into the topic .
When adding an image link, the text of the link didn't show up, instead the button for "Text Color" was pressed.
Posting the resulted that the picture shows up now 2 times + another text link.
When I try to edit the post, and click on Submit, nothing happens, I can only cancel it.

Second, but this is minor.
When I click on Forum from the homepage, the it opens recent topics and not the Index with an overview of the forum.
Need to click on Index again, to have the view I prefer.
Possible to change that behavior?

I use FF 122.0.1, so I don't rule out that FF is to blame.

Tried with Edge, same problem, but worked in Chrome.
Probably a mystery which never can be solved.

Did you clear the browser cache files?

Cache was cleared, but I think I know what happened.
When I posted the first image file, the link didn't show up.
So I made it a second time, link still didn't show up.
Then I used the IMG Tag and in the IMG tag was the 3rd time the link with another IMG-Tag, but again, it didn't show up.
But, the 3rd link (with the double IMG Tag [IMG]IMG] was hindden behind the second link. It was never visible, when I edited it.
When I deleted the 2nd image, the double IMG-Tag wasn't seen.
So I deleted everything what was behind the 1st image which caught also the double IMG-Tag and then it was fine.
But this was done in Chrome, so I am not sure whether the same solution would have worked also in Edge or FF.
