No, all the enclosures work at the correct speeds now with the right cable.

I bought this Orico one first (and overpaid by using Amazon): www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BJ23JTXX?th=1
This runs the drives cooler because of the included heatsink.

I do NOT recommend these as they run 5 to 10 degress hotter than the Orico. There is no space for an additional heatsink. The Klevv drive I have has an aluminium "heat plate" but that isn't all that great. It's all that fits into this enclosure. The drive is idle at about 50'C.

The enclosure in the second link I would question that is a very old design of an enclosure and the company that makes that one has been making that same design more less for a very long time and I never liked it at all.

I know with Unionsine and Jeyi enclosure's I have never had any problems with their cables not being 10GBPs or 20GBPs depending on the speed of the enclosure,I tend to stick with those Chinese brands as they seem to be honest and make really good stuff,Yottamaster also also really good.

After receiving my new enclosures (JMS583) today, and they also ran at USB 2.0 speeds, I was able to figure out the problem.

Of the cables in the photo, guess which one(s) support speeds of USB 3+? ............................... None of them!

I had another two cables--one really bent and twisted one that came with the new enclosure, and another really short and thick one. These connected the new enclosures AS WELL AS MY ORICO ENCLOSURE at the correct speeds, reported as: USB 3.2 Gen 2 SuperSpeedPlus.

You can tell by looking at them 90% of them look like china phone charge cables they are always USB 2.0

Nearly all cables on aliexpress/amazon/ebay are 2.0 you have to look hard to find a decent quality 10 Gbps cable nevermind faster
quite simply as 99.9% of people buying usb cables are buying them to charge phones
and they have no idea and dont care about data speeds
generally if they say 65w 100w 200w etc they are usb 2.0 cables being pushed to users trying to explode their phone battery as fast as poss

there are also large differences between USB 3.x 5 Gbps / 3.x Gen2 10 Gbps / 3.x Gen2x2 20 Gbps / 40 Gbps
you always have to keep 10 Gbps cables seperate from 5 Gbps cables and USB 2.0 cables in a bag on their own

You cant tell by how nice a cable looks, look at my 90° USB 2.0 cables they look quite nice but they are junk cables
i ordered them for specific usecases knowing what i was getting (usb 1.1 thermal printers and such)

I generally keep a known good cable at the spec'd speed with each device

I have been struggling with a problem same as # 1237 in this discussion. This problem has suffering me for a year now.

i7-13700H on MSI laptop Prestige 16 Studio A13VE. 2TB SKY Hynix P41 in a 9210B enclosure connected to USB 3.2 port. Win11 24H2.

I just updated to the latest FW 1.33.98, and got my motherboard BIOS updated as well.

The problem seems to keep hiding when I had my laptop repairing.

The problem is:
When I try to load large files like 4K movie or load games, the usage of SSD will rise to 100% with a maximum activity time in task manager while I/O dropped to totally 0. Then it will release for a second or two letting data come through. If i check Resource Manager, that SSD has a long queue of maximum I/O.

However, If I test with SSD Benchmark, everything looks nice. Normal USB 3.2 speed. Same as technical support from MSI. It's only can be reproduced from me( not a joke, it was the word from repair service at shop) .

If someone needs more descriptions or screenshots, I will post reply as soon as I checked the reply. Sorry for my words cz I tried many times on this and all of them failed. Also I have very few experience chatting online in English.
