Firmware 1.94 (i225-V)

I am confused about correct steps needed to update to 1.94? I have an MSI X670E Godlike board with i225v with unknown firmware version. I downloaded both the 1.79 package and the 1.94 package. As I understand I need to copy two files into the 1.79 folder?

Was wondering if this will work by itself: “EEUPDATEW64e.exe /nic=1 /d NVM\FXVL_15F3_V_1MB_1.94.bin” ?

Or do I need to modify the nvmupdate.cfg file? The standard way of running securefiles.bat isn't working for me. Fails.
I can read the adapter if I modify the NVMupdate.cfg subvendor + subdevice to match my adapters subvendors etc but
will fail when it tries to dump or flash. Was able to use EEUPDATEW64e to flash up to 1.89 like above and wonder why
I can not do the same command to go up to 1.94??
