Are you sure that your chipset is an ASM2362 or rather 2464 because the firmware is for the 2464
Have you tried directly in USB 2.0 for the update because sometimes the USB3.x port poses problems

So I deduce that there is surely a protection on this version to avoid modifying the firmware
