[DRIVERS] Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs (HDA/UAD)

hi
a noob here needs some guidance.
my soundcard is realtek alc662 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_1025123C
i have tried various driver releases found here but since i have a acer desktop it looks like i am stuck with 6.0.1.8459 uad driver
i am using latest win10 home 1809 build 17763.55

either the driver installer cannot find supported device or the installation works ,but after that sound card is silent

so what is the best/newest supported driver for this?

and do i have to edit any inf files to make it work in the installer?

The best way is first to delete your old driver and don't forget to check the box that says "delete driver, too" in order to not keep piling up. Then do it manually with the folder that contain the infs. I just did yours and works perfectly. AHS updated from 1.0.0.120 to 1.0.0.121 and HSA from 11.0.6000.147 to 11.0.6000.148. Then updated the Audio driver and everything went fine.

ibb.co/dc8CAq take a look at MSI's UI that got updated, too, after I did all the updates. It went from 1.2.147.0 to 1.2.148.0.

P.S. I truly want to thank the guys that upload the whole package of UAD drivers 35MB.

P.S. 2 For some reason it became habit and update audio driver last. First the Software Components ibb.co/i1vgLq

sorry folks, this 8560_UAD driver package is missing a bunch of crucial extension INF files [like HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf and others] from the CodecExtOem_RTK_8560 folder, which is why installing this version might be incomplete on many systems. Only HDX_LenovoExt_DOLBY_CNXT.inf extension file is included in the CodecExtOem_RTK_8560 folder and 8560 driver will install completely only on certain Lenovo laptops with Dolby.

Include most of CodecExtOem_RTK_8560 inf but missing
HDX_SaumsungExt_SAMS_RTK.inf
HDX_HpExt_XPERI_CNXT.inf
HDX_HpExt_SR_CNXT.inf
HDX_DellExt_AVO_RTK.inf
HDX_AsusExt_ICE_RTK.inf
Install them from CodecExtOem_RTK_8558 folder instead
