1. Please check, which driver is currently in-use by the on-board Intel SATA AHCI Controller.
2. Try to manually install the Intel RST AHCI driver v18.37.7.1013 WHQL (just by replacing the currently used AHCI driver, don't delete anything!).

EDIT:
Since it turned out, that your specific on-board Intel SATA AHCI Controller is natively not supported by the v18 platform RST driver, you may nevertheless try to get it installed by using the "Have Disk" option. Don't forget to set a "Restore Point" from within the Control Panel before starting the test (this will allow you to recover your present configuration, if anything went wrong...). If you should succeed with the manual installation of the Intel RST AHCI driver v18.37.7.1013, this would be the proof, that RST v18 platform Intel AHCI drivers are compatible with Z370 Chipset mainboards (although not natively supported).

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A352&SUBSYS_B0051458&REV_10
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A352&SUBSYS_B0051458
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A352&CC_010601
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A352&CC_0106

It's pretty easy, Intel removed your Device ID from the 18-series
However, the RST driver supports the Intel(R) 300 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller with the DeviceID VEN_8086&DEV_A282&CC_0106.
So, your statement is partly wrong that only supports the 400-series and higher.
Still (limited) support for the 300-series.

Cheers
Tom

I just force install this
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A282&CC_0106.DeviceDesc = "Intel(R) 300 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller"

on my Z390 aorus master with 18.xxx ahci driver

I do the same with onboard intel nic's that havnt had a driver update since 2016
Force install the I350 driver job done the drivers still fully support the silicon intel just remove the inf entry

Hello Shonk,
thanks for your feedback!
Your report verifies, that all Intel Z390 Chipset systems are supported by the Intel RST v18 platform AHCI drivers. Even if the original driver will not be accepted by the Device Management the normal way, it can be properly installed and will work fine after having forced the installation. Simple reason: The driver itself (here: the file named iaStorAC.sys) obviously supports all Intel 300-Series Chipsets, but the normal installation procedure doesn't work due to the missing HardwareIDs within the iaAHCIC.inf file.

Big advantage of the procedure: Since the driver has not been modified at all, it will be accepted and shown by the Device Management as being WHQL certified by Microsoft.

Hello Fernando,
a short information about the Intel Rapid storage drivers for the 300 chipsets. The versions from 18.0 are for the 400 chipsets. Only the 17.0 versions work with the 300 chipsets. This is stated incorrectly in the forum and in the download. I myself have a Gigabyte Z390 gaming X motherboard. The 18.0 versions cannot be installed there. The 17.0 versions are running.

Hello Nemesis2354,
since the Forum member Shonk gave us the proof, that even v18 platform Intel RST AHCI drivers can be installed onto an Intel Z390 system and are running fine with it, we are awaiting your comment.
Has your reported Forum issue been solved? Can you confirm Shonk's result?
