Hi,
What about a new thread for the VL716 chipset? There are already firmware updates in StationDrivers, but nobody seems to be commenting on that.

I was trying to update my ineo enclosure (VL716 chipset) using several of the firmware updates in station drivers, but none of them worked with my enclosure. It is correctly detected, but the firmware update fails. I think it is not bricked yet!

When an SSD is connected to this chipset, it is not correctly recognised by Windows as an SSD (for defrag purposes). That does not happen with the Realtek chipset. Hence why I was expecting to fix it with an update. There are many enclosures that have the VL716-Q4 chip (including Orico, inneo, etc). Sadly, I could not find how to make it work with my enclosure.
