Hi all,
Have you noticed that even when updating the bios and activating it in the setup the TDP 105w option is not active?
unless you forgot something

Hi, I wanted to write something (maybe usefull) earlier but I've understood your post upside down (I thought that you wanted to achieve 65W and seeing that value in the apps on the images, I had no clue what is going on.).

Firstly - have you noticed that Asus released a new bios (2604) for your motherboard a week ago?

www.asus.com/pl/motherboards-components/...t-X670E-CREATOR-WIFI
dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/BIOS/ProAr...R-WIFI-ASUS-2604.zip

In the changelog is:  AMD AGESA to version 1.2.0.2b

That version of AGESA is said to fix a lot of issues connected with a power-related stuff. At least on Gigabyte motherboards. 2b version fixes also 'the latency bug' from 2a version. You certainly heard about it.

Secondly - my first-thought ideas:
- wait for a fixed AGESA version (already done),

- I was told by a few people that those new bioses are incompatiable with old *.CMO files and after clearing cmos, all settings have to be entered manually again.

- Try to flash a new bios using different methods one after another (firstly update with an official Asus tool for Windows and next flash again with the flashing tool in the bios. You can even try to flash the third time using a pendrive and a flashback update feature).
On some of Gigabyte motherboards (and one MSI), I noticed quite a times, that flashing directly from the bios leaves some areas untouched. Without any reason. Sometimes ME area was ommited, sometimes GBe... Flashing the second time, immediately after the first try, finally makes a full job done. Other modern motherboards refused to flash the very latest versions of the bios because of the wrong checksum. Only the Windows tool was able to do it. On my motherboard the Windows flasher also left ME area untouched. After that I used the bios tool. The checksum was now accepted and all missing areas were flashed succesfully.

(edited) I know that AMD motherboards don't have ME area but it can be any part. I think you should try that double flashing. You've got nothing to loose.

That partial-update issue started when companies started to use *.CAP files. We all know how the *.CAP files are constructed. Maybe some parts of the bios require updating another part firstly. Maybe security reasons? And flashing tools in  the bios are not fully prepared for updating the next Intel new shitty components.

Best Regards
Lukas

Hi Lukas yes I flash them via Setup but I will do it again and do a clear cmos in case. Yes it is weird that it remains at 65w instead of 103W despite the latest bios.
I will reflash to see
