Its a RTL9220 that i have on order the PCB is the same layout and size as my iRhasta 2230 and 2242 enclosures
i have a mix of RTL9210B and JMS583 PCB's in them
anyway i have got this to put a Sata drive in will be replacing this enclosures pcb with a RTL9210B for that
then turning one of my iRhasta 2230's into a 20Gbps RTL9220
Its a 2280 Variant of these enclosures i have but with a RTL9220-VB-CG they make it in black or gunmetal
so ordered a black one for a change (with the rubber bumper)

I have Axagon EEM2-SB2 enclosure and use it with Lexar NM710 NVME SSD.
It has Realtek RTL9210B chip.
It came with original 1.33.44 firmware. Was working good, but a few times have disconnected randomly. And I of course couldn't resist updating firmware
Updated to 1.34.39. Seems to work well (with MAYBE faster 4k writing speed).
However these seems to be a few small quirks that maybe are not important for drive operation, but bothered me a little (like why does this happen).
I made a dump and created a config file:

Notice a few things:
1. SERIAL changes to 012345678902 from 012345678901 and it happens no matter what I do. Tried flashing 4 times. MPtool Lite also changes SERIAL in the cfg file itself.
2. SCSI_PRODUCT and SCSI_VENDOR now have spacing after N/A.
3. Previously "Lexar SS D NM710 2TB #0" was reported as device name in MPtool Lite, but now "n/a n/a #0"

Ok, fixed the
2. SCSI_PRODUCT and SCSI_VENDOR now have spacing after N/A.
3. Previously "Lexar SS D NM710 2TB #0" was reported as device name in MPtool Lite, but now "n/a n/a #0"
..by deleting the SCSI_PRODUCT and SCSI_VENDOR lines from cfg.
Apparently "n/a" in the original dump was just a placeholder even though it was a string with quotes.
So now the dump looks more like original:
The 1. quirk with serial number still remains though.
Another things is Lexar Disk Master reports NM710 drive as corrupt and cant read SMART data, but that also happened with factory firmware and the drive works fine overall. HD Sentinel reports everything correctly as well.

..by entering SERIAL 012345678900 in cfg. It automatically got updated to 012345678901.
I know it probably does not affect operation of the drive in any important way, however it was nice to find the cause looks like the tool increments +1 automatically.

..by entering SERIAL 012345678900 in cfg. It automatically got updated to 012345678901.
I know it probably does not affect operation of the drive in any important way, however it was nice to find the cause
looks like the tool increments +1 automatically.

Its not a quirk you have it ticked
