Re: NVME USB drives Realtek RTL9210/RTL9220 Firmware Version 1.xx
3 months 4 weeks ago - 3 months 4 weeks agoAfter receiving my new enclosures (JMS583) today, and they also ran at USB 2.0 speeds, I was able to figure out the problem.
Of the cables in the photo, guess which one(s) support speeds of USB 3+? ............................... None of them!
I had another two cables--one really bent and twisted one that came with the new enclosure, and another really short and thick one. These connected the new enclosures AS WELL AS MY ORICO ENCLOSURE at the correct speeds, reported as: USB 3.2 Gen 2 SuperSpeedPlus.
I hope this helps someone in the future, and thanks to those who assisted.

Please send a link to the enclosure's that you got that still ran at USB 2.0 speeds,I would to see which ones they were.
I have had problems with Windows before where my enclosure's will only transfer at 28 to 59mb's and even restarting the PC doesn't always work,I find that disabling the USB controller and enabling it again normally works.

it is true that certain USB 3.2 ports pose problems, always check if there is firmware that corrects the transfer problems and I repeat, have a good USB 3.2 cable or more (eg: Thunderbolt or USB 4 certified) and the shortest possible
