I think yes that the firmware does not support other controllers than Realtek RTL9210, that would explain the crash.
I think sdefrwggerg will be more expert than me

Re: NVME USB drives Realtek RTL9210/RTL9220 Firmware Version 1.xx

I have been messing around with my Unionsine enclosure's that have an RTL9210B controller and I there is one thing I can't understand.
I have flashed my enclosure with configure files RTL9210_Lite_10.cfg and SN942_Lite.cfg
What I don't understand is that when open these 2 configure files they are clearly different.
RTL9210_Lite_10.cfg
SERIAL = "012345678904"
CFEXPRESS = 0x0
LED = 0x1
PINMUX1 = 0x70000
PINMUX2 = 0x0
U2_MAXPWR = 0xfa
U3_MAXPWR = 0x70
ASPMDIS = 0x0
;10 minutes of idle time will disable pcie power
;PCIE_PWRCUT_THRES = 0xa
;EN_UPS = 0x0
;PD = 0x0
;CUSTOMIZED_LED is 15 bytes
;CUSTOMIZED_LED = 00
;SUSPEND_LED_OFF = 0x0
;FAN = 0x0
;DIS_SHOW_EMPTY_DISK = 0x1
;UART_DBG_PIN = 5
;=================Tool Configure=================
;DISCONN_FORCE_USB2 = n
;FORMAT_DISK = n
;INC_SERIAL = y
;PARTITION: GPT, MBR
PARTITION = "MBR"
;FORMAT: NTFS, exFAT
FORMAT = "NTFS"
;LABEL max allowed - characters
LABEL = "My USB"
and SN942_Lite.cfg
;Configure Start
;=================FW Configure=================
U2PHY = 02 f4 9b e0 e1
U3PHY = 02 d4 09 00 d5 00 80
VID = 0xbda
PID = 0x9210
MANUFACTURE = "Realtek"
SCSI_VENDOR = "Realtek"
PRODUCT = "RTL9210"
SCSI_PRODUCT = "RTL9210 NVME"
SERIAL = "012345678904"
CFEXPRESS = 0x0
LED = 0x1
PINMUX1 = 0x0
PINMUX2 = 0x0
U2_MAXPWR = 0xfa
U3_MAXPWR = 0x70
ASPMDIS = 0x1
;5 minutes of idle time will disable pcie power
PCIE_PWRCUT_THRES = 0x5
EN_UPS = 0x1
PD = 0x1
;CUSTOMIZED_LED is 15 bytes
CUSTOMIZED_LED = 02 01 07
;=================Tool Configure=================
;PARTITION: GPT, MBR
PARTITION = "MBR"
;FORMAT: NTFS, exFAT
FORMAT = "NTFS"
;LABEL max allowed - characters
LABEL = "My USB"
As you can see that the 2 files are clearly different by what I copied and pasted above,what my problem is that when I check the dump file after flashing the enclosure with the different configure files the dump files look nothing like what the configure file that was used when I flashed the firmware.
I thought the purpose of being able to see the dump file was so that you can save the enclosure's configure settings for when you want to upgrade the firmware and use the same setting's.
As you can see you can see the power off time or anything about Led values or anything.

Maybe someone here has the possibility to post a dump of the SPI Flash of a RTL9210B enclosure? This might be a way to recover my bricked one.
