yes absolutely I think that the fact that it is not really well recognized by the USB port poses a problem.
After recovery mode, plug it into a USB 2.0 port but not a Thunderbolt port

you had to make a shunt (short circuit on the mentioned pins then at the same time plug it into the USB 2.0 port until you hear a connection noise then it will be recognized again)
