You can see there is no fan with the images i posted of it taken apart
I have two plugged in 24/7 and havnt had any issues
on Z690/Z790 it works just fine at 20Gbps on Ryzen you roll the dice with that bad USB implementation

@Shonk

hi,

In your post you explain about "It was simple to clone the NVRAM", When is relevant to clone the NVRAM ?

VID
PID
Serial Number
EP0 M.String
EP0 P.String
T10 M.String
T10 P.String

where do you find these value to set the ini config file ?

For example if  i just would dump my original firmware for backup and restore/flashing, is NVRAM clone required ?

@Shonk

I received the samget with the ASM2364 controller.
I dumped my firmware, removed the 130 bytes and the padding at the end.

I compared my final firmware with yours and it doesn't match, I found that at the end of the file there is 4B 27 00 00 00 00 as a difference.
in fact if I delete this value, my firmware is the same as the one you posted

 - have you idea what is this value ? ( 4B 27 00 00 00 00 )
 -  I dumped the firmware with nvme inside the enclouser, maybe be the issue ? edit: same result without the nvme inside the enclouser ......

thats where a checksum of the nvram + firmware goes after you flash it

if you open say AS_PCIE_201012_91_00_00.bin you can see exactly where you should trim upto
