You where right it was not erasing the chip before flash that was causing issues on the newpeak.net/Fenvi/Nicgiga card when updating
I have been testing different firmware's all evening they all flash and work with no issues that i can see
your mileage may vary though
You just have to run update.bat from a command prompt then shutdown to reload the firmware fully
I ended up making individual flashers only for fenvi cards and cleaned out all of the excess files
wake on lan from a powered off state doesnt work on the stock fenvi 1.3.21 which i think is AQC113-Antigua_Bx-1.3.21_bdp_aqsign.clx
it also doesnt work with AQC113-DirtyWake_Bx_ASPM_Enabled-1.x.xx_bdp_aqsign.clx
so im going to stick with AQC113-Antigua_Bx-1.x.xx_bdp_aqsign.clx
Here's a copy with my Fenvi factory backup included incase there are problems with newer firmware's
mega.nz/file/V2ZRGZ6Q#kdhnKiErNcAFIh6ajM...sYOIu3w0ii4GEhwrZXNs
Of Interest
when i dumped the firmware of both cards in april 2024 to fix the first card
I dumped the first card that was bad but never bothered trimming the file or testing it in any way
I did this earlier
just flashing with flashupdate2 --reflash ATL2-8.0.1_AGENT_sign.CLX bad_card_good_trim.clx (Factory.bat)
put it back to how it was before fixing it (no link as i had done some further messing with the firmware)
running the dump through customclx2 + reflashing with Update.bat
after a powerdown and back up the card seems fine
so you can fix a bad flashed card without any further firmware
if your firmware is doing code 10 in windows
and Error: MAC firmware is not started. Reset status = 0x15000000
you should be able to fully fix it just by flashupdate2 --reflash ATL2-8.0.1_AGENT_sign.CLX your_dump_trim.clx then shutdown
though i think flashing
flashupdate2 --reflash ATL2-8.0.1_AGENT_sign.CLX AQC113-Fenvi_Factory_Dump_1.3.21_bdp_aqsign.clx (my factory dump) then power down
is the only surefire way to ensure all variables are restored to the card before progressing to a newer firmware
and is what i did after i finished testing before moving on to 1.5.42
