Unfortunately, I don't understand the deeper meaning of the version numbers at Mediatek! What is the difference between the current 25.x and the 3.x drivers? Both cover the same chips. With the mass of AMD5 boards with a 600 chipset, the Mediatek Wlan chips are being foisted on you as “AMD WIFI”.The motherboard manufacturers supply a 3.X driver every light years. When I look in the MS Update Catalog, MS also only supplies 3.X drivers for the complete Mediatek chips. So what is the source for the 24.x/25.x drivers?25.x and 3.x are both updated on completely different days. How is one supposed to determine in any way what the driver with the latest development status is? This two-track version history makes no sense to me at all.

Hi, I agree with you, I think that the 3.x series concerns the manufacturer and the others those dedicated by the manufacturers, but given that those from the manufacturer are rare or not necessarily recent, I advise always taking the latest ones.

Hello,
I have a question.
I bought a Mini PCIe Wi-Fi card with an MT7921 chipset.
The driver collection here:
www.station-drivers.com/index.php/en/com...rderby,4/lang,en-gb/
contains two types of drivers: one with version numbers starting with "3." and another with version numbers starting with two digits, for example "25.".
I tried the latest drivers from the 3.x branch, but they do not work. Windows refuses to install them. The drivers from the 25.x branch, however, work without any issues.
What is the difference between these two driver branches?
Bonus question: In your database, version 25.040.2.0586 is the latest release from the 25.x branch. However, I found version 26.40.2.587, which appears to be significantly newer. I downloaded it from a Lenovo support website, and it also works perfectly on my HP laptop.
Why is version 26.40.2.587 not listed here?
Thanks!
