Hi,
under Windows 11 & 10 there is no longer any need to install the Asmedia drivers, only those for windows are necessary.
If you encounter a problem, check that the adapter is well powered if necessary because to operate a DVD player, you need an external power supply on the USB 3.x box
if so, you want to update the USB/SATA firmware, check the current firmware version via the Asmedia MPTool utility below

thx for the link but it uses a power adaptor and USB2 or USB 3 before the 22h2 update it worked in windows 11 fine and now works with laptops with windows 10 fine
same DVD unit just different computer and windows 10
I am dubious about updating firmware when it works with windows 10 with no problems but then its a different PC and different USB's

you have to check which differs from the pc to find the problem
try updating the intel or amd chipset drivers if that can solve the problems

Grabbed the latest chipset driver from AMD and Asus (motherboard) and the AMD chipset driver was newer
both chipset drivers made no difference
asmedia ASM 105x still has a yellow exclamation mark.
