Hello,
I just re-installed Windows 10 Pro 64bit on my PC and I have problems installing the audio drivers.

I used the audio drivers included in the USB pen drive that come with this MB and that have all the necessary files for it.
The drivers are the version V6.3.9600.2239 for Windows 10 64-bit.(WHQL).

After running the "setup.exe" (in admin mode), and selecting to install the audio drivers, I see the bar of the install progressing till the 100%.
At the end it ask to restart the PC, but after windows started, when I run again that program, it keep showing that the drivers are not installed.
I tried installing them directly from the driver folder, both using the "AsusSetup.exe" or "Setup.exe". (tried a couple of times)
Once Sonic Studio III and Sonic Radar worked and once they gave a "TIMEOUT" error
But every time Realtek Audio Console, even tough it was listed as installed, it keep giving the error "Realtek Audio Console cannot connect to RPC".

So, I did a new clean Windows 10 install and now I am asking for help about which driver and how to correctly install it.
I have created a AIDA64 report if you think it can help.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Regards.

um, I like to help you but you forgot to mention one important detail - what kind of Asus motherboard are you using?  most Asus boards use standard Realtek HD Audio hardware [ALC8xx/ALC12xx] & drivers with versions 6.0.xxxx and some other Asus boards use Realtek USB Audio hardware [ALC4080/ALC4082] & drivers with versions 6.3.9600.2xxx.

will postpone responding to this until you tell us which Asus board you currently have.

======

for Lenovo Thinkpad Gen2-Gen4 laptop users:

v6.0.9590.1 UAD Lenovo drivers + Intel HDASST drivers from Lenovo (both downloads posted 12/05/2023)
{ download 1 - release notes }  { download 2 - release notes }

@erpster96

I am sorry, I posted the message in this forum, but another thread and the admin suggested to post it in this thread...and forgot to add the object, which contained this information.
My bad !

My motherboard is an ASUS Zenith II Extreme Alpha.

I built the PC in october 2020 and all was ok until I tried to update the drivers last week...something went wrong and decided to take the "chance" ( regretfully now !) to do a fresh new install of W10 Pro 64 bit.
From october 2020 to last week, I upgraded several times the audio drivers, without any problem.

Right now I have the PC with just W10 installed and waiting for some help.
Thanks !
