I have no idea, but hard to believe Intel abandons so soon WiFi for 8-10th generation..
My guess, that these are pre-release drivers by Microsoft (developed by Intel) to support WiFi 7 and later incorporated into official releases.

Cheers
Tom
Considering they announced 8-10th Gen graphics drivers as legacy recently just some months ago, I'd not be surprised if they (intel) did the same now for the Wi-Fi drivers as well.

Valid point, but in this case, we talk about a technology like WiFi 5 and the corresponding Bluetooth protocol.
Not every device is using already WiFi 6 hence WiFi 7.

we all know that very well & we shall continue presuming & discussing these all,
but at the end, it's not our call to decide regarding.

True, lets wait an official release from Intel, which could be when Windows 11 23H2 is released.
Until then, we can only guess.

Cheers
