Hello to all of you and thank you again for your loyalty,
Today I want to know if you are satisfied with the site since the change of the server and some touch-ups of the color and the change of the theme of the Forum.
Of course I am aware that there may still be work to do but the biggest part is done

SUCCESS (partly)
I used an older version of the FwUpdateTool (File version 1.19.16.49) and was able to flash JMS583_00.02.01.04_Bus_Power
Note: it took SIGNIFICANTLY LONGER (maybe 10 seconds or more) for the process to complete, eg. show the "Power off and on" message
After re-powering, this version show the following info:
When I run the previews FwUpdateTool (File version 1.19.17.6) instead, it shows the same info.

PUYA

SUCCESSFUL (fully)
Re-did the flashing with the older tool and my initial backup - only took a smooth second (as I had previously experienced) and was successful
The Firmware Ver. is back to where it was (65.01.00.02)
Still, the device is not recognized AT ALL by my MacBookPro - sigh!
I think now it is the right time to return this piece of broken hardware and try to get it replaced with the RTL version of it
THANKS A TON @Shonk, @Laroldski and @dw999
If only there was something I could do for you guys in return - let me know

Sounds like VBS + Secure boot was causing the issues with the flash
VBS stops direct hardware access that some tools dont like

2 days 47 minutes ago - 2 days 46 minutes agoIf that was true, why was the tool able to successfully (I actually restored the enclosure from this file) create a backup AND perform a flash (although that led to the issues) at first?Sounds like VBS + Secure boot was causing the issues with the flash

Also, why was I able to perform multiple flash attempts with the other tool?
No, I highly doubt that VBS and/or SB had any influence in my case.
I prefer to believe that these JMicron devices are simply of low quality.
If only I hadn't reassemble the darn thing I would probably try and disable VBS.
